Step 4: Financing

Whether you’re planning on financing a project with internal or external capital, we can help. We develop a finance structure for your project that facilitates working capital from private investors, local individuals, and government subsidies or grants.

Private Sector

Emergent has a network of private investors looking to finance on-site renewable energy projects. Depending on the size of the project and the financial feasibility, Emergent will draw from this network to match private investors with your project.

If your business has lined up potential financial partners in the project, Emergent can work with them to ensure that the project will meet their minimum investment return requirements.

Individuals and the Community

Emergent uses a variety of different methods to draw investment from individuals living in the community in which the project is growing. Emergent offers project financial interest to local community members.

Government Subsidies

Depending on your location, there are a number of state and federal subsidies available for renewable energy projects. The 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act contains incentives for private renewable energy projects, including tax credits for investors. Emergent also finds cash grants available from the state or federal government.
